We brought light into the darkness walking with our magical lantern light. Happy Saint Martin’s Day! This was a very special gathering at the time of the year when the days are shorter and the nights are longer. Especially this year we want want to share Light, Love and Kindness.
Just as Saint Martin did, when he shared his cloak with the beggar. The children loved playing the story of Saint Martin in the park. Thank you all for walking and singing with us!
This year , due to COVID-19 pandemic guidelines, we celebrated “Enchanted Halloween” a bit different. We had a performance in front of the Tivoli house with the audience social distanced and mask wearing. Still the fairy brought us enchanted moments away from the daily worries.
The children had a wonderful time: being in awe of the moment.
Our children were greeted by our director Ilka Sternberger, abiding COVID regulations and wearing a mask. Children and parents happily followed the guidelines. The first days were all about getting to know the rhythm of Tivoli and meeting everyone. Bobby, our chicken was very excited to be fed by the children again. And all the fairy houses were visited again.
Children were crafting friendship-rocks to share with everyone. It was a happy beginning and an excellent transition into the new school year 2020/2021.
Thank you all for joining our Abschluss Zeremonie / Moving-on celebration in the park and with social distancing Covid-style!
We honored the soon to be Kindergarteners with song and dance. They were so happy to receive their Schultüten/ school cones, and were excited to move into their next chapter of life.
We all celebrated this crazy school year with Mimosas and a lot of laughter.
The teachers received beautiful flowers, as a thank you from each child.
All the children happily danced through the beautiful rainbow silk into the next school year.
Tivoli Rainbow Garden Preschool is open NOW, and we will be offering our regular program outdoors for the new School Year 2020/2021. We are and will be following the CDC pandemic guidelines (sanitizing, physical distancing and masks for protection and safety of children and staff).
Alles liebe zum Vatertag!
Happy Father’s Day to all the amazing fathers in the world. We honored and celebrated our Tivoli fathers with a social distance picnic in the park. It was fun the children loved dancing and singing and giving their little heart gifts. The dads, the families and Tivoli staff enjoyed being together again after many months of staying at home.
Since its is hard to keep the children occupied at home, Tivoli is Sending crafting packages for the children to have fun at home.
Easter 2020
Der Osterhase (Easter bunny) came anyway, since the children had planted their easter baskets already in March.
Mothers day 2020
It was a heart warming Mothers day celebration on Zoom. The children gave cards, poured tea and gave cookies to their Mamas. Everything was specially prepared and sent from Tivoli to everyone’s home. This little Mothers day Zoom Tea time was very needed and appreciated by the Mamis and the children.
May day: Celebration with flower wearths and maple songs.
It was so much fun to visit the animals at the Gentle Barn. We hugged and brushed the cows and fed the horses, held the chickens and stoked the pigs and fed the sheep. It is so important for children to be connected to animals and be able to express their love for them. In our curriculum we discussed farm animals and how they should be treated, so that at our visit the children were already familiar with the treatment of the animals. We all had a great time at the Gentle barn!
The Faschings celebration was lovely and joyful. Even though we are not in Germany, the Germans/Europeans still know how to celebrate Fasching, with Rucki Zucki and the Polonaise parade, we sang and danced and had a great time!!! Hellau und Allaf!
Faschingspolonaise 2020
Celebrating valentines day here at Tivoli was heartwarming and caring. The children shared and recieved very special valentine’s cards from each other. And they went home with a bright smile on their faces and a full bag of cards.
We had special Valentines waffle treats that the parents brought. They were fantastic! The children learned special heart verse to let the parents know how much they love them.
