It was a heartwarming afternoon celebrating all the children. With our little Tivoli orchestra we entertained the parents. There was lots of love in the air sending off our children who are moving on to new schools. They were receiving ‘Schultüten’ for the first day of school. The teachers received flowers as a thank you for their wonderful care for the children this year.
On our fairy walk at Ferndell trail in Griffith park we were looking for fairies and gnoms. And we found special treats and fairy rocks. Ein Zauberwald für Kinder. We also saw colorful dragon flies and spiderwebs and many mystical creatures.
We went on a tour of the Culver City Fire Station for our Father’s Day treat. The children were able to sit in a truck, hang on the fire pole, and loved up their fathers with special treats.
We had a fun event with maypole dancing, face painting, and flower wreath making and enjoying the German community in this challenging times.
Tivoli Mamas were treated to a Mothers Day tea, with cake and songs. A lovely day was had by all.
Our Easter celebration was a fun gathering with egg walks, yummy food and a surprise from the Easter bunny.
Fasching is a wonderful time of the year where we dress up in happy costumes, make beautiful mask and dance the “Polonäse” to push the winter season out.
It was a wonderful heart warming Valentine’s Day celebration, with lots of kisses and hugs, yummy food, creative Valentine’s cards for everyone, including the grandparents.
Our Lunar New Year celebration was very enlightening, with one mom sharing her heritage and making it a very special event for everyone.
Guess who came to Tivoli for the the holiday celebration…Sankt Nikolaus!
